| So school starts again tomorrow.. I don't wanna start studying again!  It was nice to have a break from school for 2 weeks.. the ski trip with my family to New Mexico was really fun.. although skiing is a lot of work.. I fell on my butt a LOT. It snowed on Christmas day while we were there, which was cool. Lupe's working a new job and he's training in Odessa so he had to stay behind and work.. he's in Odessa (2 and a half hours away) five days out of the week, which sucks.. but its for the best because this job is much better than his previous one. So I've been hangin around the house.. watching a lot of TV.. I don't get to watch much TV during the regular semester.. so its been fun. For New Year's Eve Lupe and I hung out with another couple from school.. Lupe had to work that day but had off for New Year's Day.. so it was pretty low key. My bestest friend Jess came to town to hang out with me on my birthday (Lupe had to work in Odessa).. we had a fabulous time.. it was a fun time. Its hard to believe I'm 23.. time seems to fly these days. Jess and I went shopping.. went and saw "P.S. I love you".. and went out for dinner and drinks on my birthday.. she's so awesome. Well I'm about to head to bed here in a little while.. have an 8 'o clock class tomorrow. | | |

| Soooo I'm off from school for two weeks.. woo hoo! It feels so freakin good to not be studying for two weeks and not feeling guilty about it. I made an 89.64 on my third test for my "BCT" unit (made a 78.67 on the second test and a 84.03 on the first). I was super excited about my third test grade.. hopefully we'll find out our grades from the final exam soon.. but I'm not too worried about it since I needed a 30 to pass. After my test I did laundry and cleaned my house.. my house hasn't been that clean since we moved in.. lol. During school I just don't have time to clean really well.. just the basics. My parents, my little brother's girlfriend, and I left yesterday for a Christmas trip to New Mexico.. it was a stressful drive since the roads were bad and we fishtailed several times.. when we were right outside of Lubbock we were carefully dodging huge tumbleweeds.. there were tons of them.. they can scratch your car if you hit them.. we drove about 40 mph for a few hours during the really icy parts of the trip.. we eventually arrived safely. Yesterday evening we went snowmobiling.. it was really fun.. our guides led us on all these trails up in and around the mountains.. it was really awesome. Today was my first day of skiing.. it was quite interesting. We all went to ski school.. at the end of the day I went on the yellow slope.. its the next step up from the ski school slope.. skiing is tough!! Its a lot of work.. hopefully tomorrow I'll spend more time on my skis instead of my butt. Now I'm really regretting not skiing on the ski trip in high school.. I should have never let a selfish asshole keep me from living my life.. if I could do it all over again I could kick Cale Hornsby in the nuts the first second that I met him.. that would be fun. Plus it would have really helped my ski skills to have learned while I was younger and more active. Anyways.. I'm sore now so I'm sure tomorrow I'm gonna have a hard time getting out of bed. Well I'm gonna go lounge around and try to recuperate now.. hope you guys are having a wonderful holiday! | | |
| So I'm spending my Saturday night at the library.. woo freakin hoo. My day hasn't been too exciting.. went to the gym with Lupe and my workout partner this morning.. Lupe and I had lunch at McAlister's.. LOVE that restaurant.. and I've been in the library since about 3.. and it sucks. We have a test on Wednesday over biostats, which is the most boring subject EVER.. then we have our third "BCT" test a week from this Monday and our final the Wednesday after that.. so these next two weeks are gonna be hell. Yay. Anyways... hope you guys' weekend is going better than mine..  Yes I know.. "want some cheese with that wine?" Shut up. Everyone gets to vent sometimes.. which my time is now. I'm counting the days until the ski trip for Christmas.. can't wait!! Talk at you guys later.. | | |
| I have two funny stories for ya. This first isn't that funny since you kinda had to be there to understand it all.. but basically me and a second year were in the bathroom and this crazy old lady comes in there and starts talking to us.. not only did she talk to the girl through the stall, which is awkard.. she actually waited for her to get done.. LOL. She introduced me to herself when I was washing my hands.. then was telling me about this new mustang she bought at a local car dealership and that she was about to start a new job there (riiiiight).. telling me that I need to go up to the car dealership and buy myself a new mustang.. yea right! She really was psycho.. it was weird. Second story is much more amusing. This janitor was mopping the stairs at school, and when I started to walk down them he warned me to be careful and not fall.. I laughed and jokingly asked him if he was going to catch me.. he looks at me and says "no you're too big."  The janitor called me fat!! I just laughed and went on my way.. I told my friend about it at the bottom of the stairs and she was pissed.. she wanted to go bitch him out but I wouldn't let her.. no use in preaching to an idiot.. most men know to keep their mouth shut about things like that. Oh well.. I found it amusing. Other than these few crazy incidences I've just been studying.. which is super boring. But we have less than 2 weeks of school left, which is exciting. Can't wait until the ski trip!!! Well I better hit the books.. hopefully no more crazy encounters today.. I've already filled my daily quota. | | |
